A personal exploration of the conjunction between ancient Mesoamerican prophesy and New Age higher consciousness. • Selected by the Independent Publisher's Book Awards as one of the top two New Age books of the year. • Explores ancient prophesies and their relevance in the contemporary world. The Incan and Mayan cultures saw themselves as “children of light”--descended from celestial realms--and their prophecies foretell a time of great spiritual awakening. They prophesied a time when the gateways to higher consciousness would open once again. That time is now. Award-winning author Judith Bluestone Polich draws on her extensive research in quantum physics, archeoastronomy, holography, cosmology, and pioneering studies of human consciousness to show how science and contemporary thought are consistent with this ancient knowledge. As the ancients predicted, the human god-seed is beginning to awaken, and modern civilization is finally beginning to perceive human potential in ways that the ancient cultures accepted as truth. Polich introduces techniques for awakening our own human potential through dreaming, meditations, and the power of sacred sites.

At the close of the Civil War, weary veteran Malcolm Hopeton returns to his home in western New York State to find his wife and hired man missing and his farm in disrepair. A double murder ensues, the repercussions of which ripple through a community with spiritual roots in the Second Great Awakening. Hopeton has gone from the horrors of war to those far worse, and arrayed around him are a host of other people struggling to make sense of his crime. Among them is Enoch Stone, the lawyer for the community, whose spiritual dedication is subverted by his lust for power; August Swartout, whose wife has left earthly time and whose eye is set on eternity; and a boy who must straddle two worlds as he finds his own truth and strength. Always there is love and the memory of love--as haunting as the American Eden that Jeffrey Lent has so exquisitely rendered in this unforgettable novel. A Slant of Light is a novel of earthly pleasure and deep love, of loss and war, of prophets and followers, of theft and revenge, in an American moment where a seemingly golden age has been shattered. This is Jeffrey Lent on his home ground and at the height of his powers.

Return of the Light Prince Dear reader This novel contains some of the most profound and provocative ideas about a subject that many of us have already formed an opinion on. This in itself is the reason why this novel was kept by me for some time in an unpublished state and yet I remained unsure what to do, or the next step to take. I’d like to quickly explain the quandary I am experiencing but to understand you need to keep asking why, and never stop. Some questions of a factual nature could be ~ Why does the planet Earth travel on an orbital path at about eighteen and a half miles per second, or why does Mercury complete an orbit around our Sun in eighty eight days? Yes, it is true the answer to these questions above can partly be found in physics but this is clearly a statement of the obvious without any explanation as to why. However the most immediate responses can be found from those, whose mindset sits mainly, in one of three camps. That is the acceptance of creationism, evolutionary theory or a growing body of pragmatists who believe in their mind of doubts that there maybe another equally more plausible answer. Writing this book was not easy. The harder part though is breaking through the mindset of hundreds of years of work and research, including the special work completed by the naturalist Darwin. There is no shortage of support for a range of advocates of religious history and equally for the continuing and developing theory of evolution and herein lies the problem. This book does raise and explain another equally plausible reason. We will all go home tonight to the rest of our lives. But consider this, have you ever had an experience so confronting in nature, so rich in ideas that you have felt compelled to stop and listen and be measured by its effect. This for me has been the most exciting life experience of my time. The real impact of this work will break through via the medium of moving images rather than just the mere words in the book I have written. The reasons for this are the obvious ones. The mass audience this work lends itself to, will rationalize more on what they have seen given that most of us have a depth of interests that try to keep up with issues on a day to day basis. I hope you enjoy reading this work as much as I had the enjoyment in writing it. Howard Dimond Author

Saint Joseph Cafasso inspired many priests on the road to sanctity, including Saint John Bosco. He also wrote a book on the priesthood, 'The Priest: The Man of God'. Here we have the story of this wonderful priest. He showed his future sanctity, when at age 10 he warned someone: “If you do not forgive, when you say the Our Father, you ask God to punish you.” All will find the life story of this amazing priest most edifying.St. Alphonsus writes: “a single bad book will be sufficient to cause the destruction of a monastery.” Pope Pius XII wrote in 1947 at the beatification of Blessed Maria Goretti: “There rises to Our lips the cry of the Saviour: 'Woe to the world because of scandals!' (Matthew 18:7). Woe to those who consciously and deliberately spread corruption-in novels, newspapers, magazines, theaters, films, in a world of immodesty!” We at St. Pius X Press are calling for a crusade of good books. We want to restore 1,000 old Catholic books to the market. We ask for your assistance and prayers. This book is a photographic reprint of the original The original has been inspected and many imperfections in the existing copy have been corrected. At Saint Pius X Press our goal is to remain faithful to the original in both photographic reproductions and in textual reproductions that are reprinted. Photographic reproductions are given a page by page inspection, whereas textual reproductions are proofread to correct any errors in reproduction.

AFTER FOUR HARROWING YEARS ON THE WESTERN Front, Tom Sherbourne returns to Australia and takes a job as the lighthouse keeper on Janus Rock, nearly half a day’s journey from the coast. To this isolated island, where the supply boat comes once a season, Tom brings a young, bold, and loving wife, Isabel. Years later, after two miscarriages and one stillbirth, the grieving Isabel hears a baby’s cries on the wind. A boat has washed up onshore carrying a dead man and a living baby. Tom, who keeps meticulous records and whose moral principles have withstood a horrific war, wants to report the man and infant immediately. But Isabel insists the baby is a “gift from God,” and against Tom’s judgment, they claim her as their own and name her Lucy. When she is two, Tom and Isabel return to the mainland and are reminded that there are other people in the world. Their choice has devastated one of them.
